Bart Brady Ciampa
Bart Brady Ciampa, BMI, is a composer, arranger, and trumpet/flugelhorn and wind synthesizer player who lives and records in Vancouver, Washington, a suburb of Portland, Oregon. He was born and raised in the Boston area where he studied with Jerry Mitchell for ten years. During college in the early '60's, he was fortunate enough to live near Lenny's-on-the-Pike, which was the premier jazz venue of the greater-Boston area. During this period he spent many pleasant evenings listening to the jazz greats and was influenced by folks such as Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Herb Pomeroy, Alan Dawson, Dave Lambert, Charlie Mingus, and many others. His eclectic style encompasses Latin, mellow jazz, and the old jazz standards. He has released seven CD's, three of which are available at CDbaby.com.
